About the artwork
DeWitt Godfrey called Steel Man by foreign journalists, created a giant object, to make which 3,5 tons of steel squares and more than two thousand bolts were used. Building of this sculpture reminded of the construction of a vertical tower, however, the author, seeking for deformation rather than stability, placed the tower in a horizontal position as soon as it was finished.
