About the artwork
The sculptor Donatas Jankauskas (Duonis) – a graduate of the Vilnius Academy of Art class 1994 and a disciple of G.Jakūbonis – creates sculptures, installations and is featured in different actions and festivals.
The playful piece of work by this artist named "Čiūčia Liūlia" (Hushaby), made in the semblance of a car-shaped bed, lets the smallest visitors at the open-air museum use the little ‘bed’ as a rocker or swing the little babies that lay in it. The rocking mechanism of the sculpture-cum-game is installed in a specially designed underground shaft.
